Yes, you can use your LifeCam 3.0 on Windows 10. Microsoft provides compatible drivers and software for their LifeCam devices, which can be downloaded from their official website.
The Night Mode automatically tweaks the settings to make the image somehow clearer to see at least the content. Access the settings for the camera and change various options (Brightness, Saturation, Sharpness, etc). If you have issues with focus, then spin the wheel of the webcam until you get a clear image.
These are the only thing you can tweak when working with Microsoft LifeCams.
I have Microsoft LifeCam 1.4 and I want to know if it is compatible with my Windows 7 computer? If not, where can I get a compatible version?

Microsoft LifeCam 1.4 is an old version of the application developed only for Windows XP and below platforms. For your Windows 7 computer, you can use Microsoft LifeCam 3.6. It is designed to run on both 32 and 64-bit versions of Windows 7. If you want, you can try also other webcam capture utilities from Software Informer database.
I've installed everything. All I get is "There is no camera connected to this computer". The camera's light comes on momentarily, but it asks me every time to install the driver software. I installed it, but the problem persists. Can you help?

OK... This is what causes the message "there is no camera connected to this computer"...
You must make sure that you have the lifecam microphone enabled... Even if you will be recording from a line in or other source, you must have the webcam mic enabled.. You can put the webcam mic volume at -0- and still use another recording source... Do this and your software will not give you the error message anymore..
You can add special effects from the LifeCam Dashboard menu. If the option is not available, try using YouCam as an alternative, it has additional features and options. The support of an application for LifeCam devices should be enough, but if that doesn't satisfy you, the alternative is a way to go.
The countdown timer is a very good function. Can the developers add it in the next version of the software?

If you want a countdown timer in the next version of Microsoft LifeCam, you will need to contact the developers. You can get in touch with them using the contact information from the official web page. Also, if you want, you can check Software Informer database for an alternative solution. Many of these software have a countdown timer and are compatible with all major webcam models.
My Toshiba model A655 has a built-in camera and microphone. It is more convenient to use them both with Lifecam. But even though I can see video in the Toshiba setup section, Lifecam shows "no camera connected to this computer". Any thoughts? It probably applies to all laptops with built-in cameras/microphones.

Microsoft LifeCam works with the Microsoft product but it does have limited support with other devices. This is why you encounter these issues. Try using its own camera application that can be downloaded from the official website. It's recommended to use the native application because is 100 % compatible with Toshiba products.
Reinstalled web camera and it still says that the camera is not found. This morning it was working and all of a sudden it died. Can you troubleshoot?

Start your computer and make sure you are connected to the Internet. Go to Control Panel > System or Control Panel > System & Security > System and access Device Manager. If everything is installed, you will see all the components listed. The webcam device should have a yellow sign. Right click it and update the drivers. Use the automatic finding technique and Windows will install the drivers if you have the software installed as well.

If the camera is not working with Yahoo Messenger, then you need to make sure that the camera is installed properly. Alternatively, re-install the camera's software and drivers then open Yahoo Messenger and go to Preferences > Webcam. Click on Camera Source and select your camera. Restart Yahoo Messenger and it should work normally.
